Manolis Kellis is a professor of computer science at MIT, a member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, a principal investigator of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT, and head of the MIT Computational Biology Group (compbio.mit.edu). His research includes disease circuitry, genetics, genomics, epigenomics, coding genes, non-coding RNAs, regulatory genomics, and comparative genomics, applied to Alzheimer's Disease, Obesity, Schizophrenia, Cardiac Disorders, Cancer, and Immune Disorders, and multiple other disorders. He has led several large-scale genomics projects, including the Roadmap Epigenomics project, the ENCODE project, the Genotype Tissue-Expression (GTEx) project, and comparative genomics projects in mammals, flies, and yeasts. He received the US Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering (PECASE) by US President Barack Obama, the Mendel Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Science, the NIH Director’s Transformative Research Award, the Boston Patent Law Association award, the NSF CAREER award, the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, the Technology Review TR35 recognition, the AIT Niki Award, and the Sprowls award for the best Ph.D. thesis in computer science at MIT. He has obtained more than 20 multi-year grants from the NIH. Dr. Kate Darling is a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab and leads the ethics & society research team at RAI (Robotics and AI Institute). She is the author of THE NEW BREED: What Our History with Animals Reveals about Our Future with Robots. Kate’s work explores the intersections of robotic technology and society, with a particular interest in legal, economic, social, and ethical issues. She runs experiments and field work, holds workshops, writes, and speaks about some of the more interesting developments in the world of human-robot interaction, and where we will find ourselves in the future.
Vito Nicastro was born in Japan and has lived in 6 countries. Dr. Nicastro earned a double-major B.A. in history and religious studies from Brown University, an M. Div. with distinction from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and a Ph.D. in Theology from Boston College. Interfaith dialogue has been his passion and vocation since 1989. He helps lead the interfaith office for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. His 3 years in volunteer work included Muslim-Christian dialogue in West Africa and Palestine, and Jewish-Christian in Israel. He published a book on bridging divides among spiritual institutions and non-profits and translated a book on spiritual leadership. He has practiced in monasteries on Mt Athos, studied at the World Council of Churches in Switzerland, and staffed the delegation of the United States Conference to Jerusalem. He speaks English, Italian, and Spanish, and reads French, Latin, and Greek. He has owned businesses in Dubai, Turkiye, and Turkmenistan. He has two children.

Sidy Maiga is a Djembe Master from Mali. Sidy has been an active member of the local music scene, playing not only traditional Malian music, but also a fusion of Malian music with Latin, Blues, and Brazilian. His love for sharing his music and culture with the community inspired him to begin Afrika Nyaga, a West Africa Dance and Drum Festival. Maiga has received the MacColl-Johnson Fellowship (2012), the RISCA Folk Arts Fellowship (2012and 2022). Sidy has performed on stages with many international artists. Sidy has released two albums, Maliden (2011) and Africa United (2014), which features musicians from across the world. He’s now recording his third album. Maiga has since pushed his craft further by completing his degree at Berklee College of Music (2020), where he studied music production, business, and composition. Eliemar Albuquerque is a sound healer and yoga practitioner dedicated to channeling healing, love, and light through vibration and resonance. Born in Brazil and raised in the spiritual tradition of Umbanda—a blend of African, Indigenous, and Catholic influences—he later deepened his practice through Hatha and Kundalini Yoga as well as Indian philosophy.
